Welcome to the Legacy Baseball Network & Your "Sport Bits" Podcast!
How it All Began
This is where our journey begins. The idea to produce a baseball podcast was the brainchild of Dr. Lorne Parker, a former semi-pro and college pitcher who pitched in Canada’s historic IBL league. Lorne reconnected with one of his teammates, Paul Allen, at a London Majors baseball reunion held in Lorne’s home town London, Ontario. Although the two men had not seen each other in over 60 years, they reminisced about their baseball playing days. Based on Allen’s book Bright Lights Black Stars, Parker suggested a baseball podcast.
The two friends’ collaboration has created a truly nostalgic and memorable series of interesting podcasts episodes. “Sport Bits” is a wonderful baseball journey. Glad you're here to be a part of the story.
